There is something almost meditative about the Mandala Chair. The circular backrest — its hand-braided jute coiled outward from a tight centre in concentric rings — reads less like furniture detail and more like a craftsperson's quiet obsession made visible. A form that takes its name from the ancient symbol of wholeness, it earns it.

The frame is solid oak in a warm honey finish — four splayed blade legs and a tapered back support that rises to cradle the circular pad. The geometry is confident without being rigid: the slight outward lean of the legs, the satisfying disc of the seat, the perfect sphere of the backrest. Together they create a silhouette that is immediately recognisable across a dining room or a hotel restaurant floor.

The braided jute work — thick-corded, densely interlocked — carries the texture of traditional Indian rope craft reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Every seat and backrest is hand-worked, meaning no two chairs are precisely identical. That is the point.
