Our Roots in Jodhpur

Furniture From Factory was founded in 2022 by Latank Rathi. Born and raised in Jodhpur, Rajasthan — the global capital of handcrafted furniture exports — Latank grew up surrounded by woodyards, seasoning kilns, and multi-generational artisans.
For centuries, Jodhpur has been famous for its woodworking traditions. Artisans here possess an intuitive understanding of hardwoods, utilizing generational joinery skills to create pieces that can withstand extreme climates. FFF was created to build a direct bridge: delivering Jodhpur's premium solid wood craftsmanship factory-direct to clients in the USA, Canada, UK, and UAE without traditional importer markups.
We are not a reseller. We operate our own manufacturing facilities in Jodhpur, managing everything from lumber selection and kiln-drying to the final hand-rubbed finish. By controlling the complete supply chain, we offer premium bespoke furniture at 40% to 70% below traditional boutique retail pricing.

The Manufacturing Process

Heirloom furniture is built, not assembled. Here is how we craft each custom solid wood piece from raw log to finished masterwork inside our Jodhpur facilities.

Step 01

Wood Selection

We source our timber responsibly. Mango wood is retrieved from end-of-life orchards, Teak is harvested from government-regulated plantations, and Sheesham is sourced from certified agricultural lands. Every log is checked for grain pattern before entering our gates.
Step 02

Kiln-Drying & Seasoning

Jodhpur's climate is dry, while export destinations have variable humidity. To prevent warping, splitting, or checking, all lumber undergoes strict kiln-drying. We reduce the moisture content of our wood to a stable 8% to 12% in computerized drying chambers.
Step 03

Pest Treatment

Prior to crafting, all seasoned timber is treated in pressurized chambers with environmentally safe, non-toxic preservatives. This process permanently protects the hardwood from wood-boring beetles, termites, and other pests.
Step 04

Precision Joinery

We reject nails, staples, and cheap glue. Our furniture is built using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, dovetail drawer construction, and tongue-and-groove paneling to allow the wood to naturally expand and contract.
Step 05

Hand Sanding

Each item is sanded progressively by hand using various grits of sandpaper. This smooths out any rough textures while highlighting the natural, unique grain variations of the hardwood.
Step 06

Natural Finishing

We use premium, low-VOC, lead-free stains, protective sealers, and natural oils. Whether it is a natural matte mango wood finish or a rich honey sheesham polish, our finishes are hand-applied in dust-controlled chambers.

Mango Wood (Mangifera Indica)

Janka Hardness: 1,070 lbf (Janka Scale)

Grain: Highly varied, curly patterns with unique color streaks (golden-brown, yellow, pink).

Mango wood is an exceptionally sustainable hardwood. We harvest it from mature orchard trees that have ceased bearing fruit. It is highly workable, structurally stable, and absorbs stains beautifully, making it perfect for dining tables, sideboards, and bedroom dressers.

Sheesham Wood (Dalbergia Sissoo)

Janka Hardness: 1,660 lbf (Janka Scale)

Grain: Distinct, interlocked, high-contrast dark streaks on a rich chestnut-brown background.

Known for its extreme density and natural resistance to decay, Sheesham is the premier hardwood of Northern India. It is highly durable and holds its shape exceptionally well over decades. We utilize plantation-grown, certified Sheesham wood for items requiring maximum strength.

Teak Wood (Tectona Grandis)

Janka Hardness: 1,155 lbf (Janka Scale)

Grain: Straight grain with a rich golden-yellow hue that matures to a warm bronze over time.

Teak is renowned globally for its high natural oil content, which provides superior resistance to moisture, insects, and weather. We source legal teak wood to build premium furniture that is suitable for both high-end interior spaces and exterior patios.

Every export shipment undergoes heat treatment or fumigation under official supervision, receiving international phytosanitary certificates.

Secure Crating

We package in heavy-duty 7-ply corrugated sheets, reinforced with corner guards, high-density foam wrapping, and wooden crates to prevent damage.
