Our Roots in Jodhpur

Furniture From Factory was founded in 2022 by Latank Rathi. Born and raised in Jodhpur, Rajasthan — the global capital of handcrafted furniture exports — Latank grew up surrounded by woodyards, seasoning kilns, and multi-generational artisans.
For centuries, Jodhpur has been famous for its woodworking traditions. Artisans here possess an intuitive understanding of hardwoods, utilizing generational joinery skills to create pieces that can withstand extreme climates. FFF was created to build a direct bridge: delivering Jodhpur's premium solid wood craftsmanship factory-direct to clients in the USA, Canada, UK, and UAE without traditional importer markups.
We are not a reseller. We operate our own manufacturing facilities in Jodhpur, managing everything from lumber selection and kiln-drying to the final hand-rubbed finish. By controlling the complete supply chain, we offer premium bespoke furniture at 40% to 70% below traditional boutique retail pricing.

Production steps depend on the selected product, materials, and finish. These are the areas buyers should confirm in the written specification for a custom order.

Step 01

Wood Selection

Timber selection considers the approved species, dimensions, grain, visible variation, and structural use. Request species and sourcing documentation when it is material to your order.
Step 02

Kiln-Drying & Seasoning

Drying and moisture checks are discussed for the selected timber and product. Solid wood can still move with humidity, so placement and care guidance remain important after delivery.
Step 03

Pest Treatment

Treatment and export-document requirements vary by timber, destination, and shipment. The written quotation should identify any treatment or certificate included for the order.
Step 04

Precision Joinery

Joinery varies with the product, component, load, and material. Ask for construction details when a particular joint or hardware method matters to the project.
Step 05

Surface Preparation

Surface preparation is chosen for the material and approved finish. Natural grain and colour variation should be expected and recorded through samples or current photos where matching matters.
Step 06

Finish Confirmation

The approved stain, paint, oil, or protective finish is recorded for the order. Request test reports or compliance documentation if VOC, lead, food-contact, or regional standards are required.

Mango Wood (Mangifera Indica)

Hardness note: Varies by species, source, and board

Grain: Highly varied, curly patterns with unique color streaks (golden-brown, yellow, pink).

Mango wood often shows broad colour and grain variation and is used for many indoor furniture forms. Verify the actual boards, construction, finish, and care guidance for the selected piece.
Material Profile

Sheesham Wood (Dalbergia Sissoo)

Hardness note: Confirm the timber and product specification

Grain: Distinct, interlocked, high-contrast dark streaks on a rich chestnut-brown background.

Sheesham, usually Dalbergia sissoo, commonly has warm brown colour with darker streaks. Species identity, lawful sourcing, drying, construction, and finish should be confirmed for the selected product.
Material Profile

Teak Wood (Tectona Grandis)

Hardness note: Varies by source and growth conditions

Grain: Straight grain with a rich golden-yellow hue that matures to a warm bronze over time.

Teak contains natural oils and is used in indoor and outdoor furniture, but outdoor suitability depends on the complete product, including its joints, hardware, adhesives, drainage, and finish rating.
