Lehar is built around a single sinuous line. A slow wave begins at one corner of the headboard, crests, dips, and finds its rhythm again at the foot of the bed — drawn in one continuous gesture, then steam-bent into solid ash and ebonized matte black. Inside the curve, panels of hand-woven natural cane catch the light, soften the dark wood, and anchor the piece in centuries of Indian weaving tradition. The cylindrical feet sit the platform low and grounded. Nothing else competes.
The reference points are global — Pierre Jeanneret in Chandigarh, Joaquim Tenreiro in Rio, Charlotte Perriand in the Alps — but the cane is woven in Bareilly and the frames are shaped in our Jodhpur workshop. The result reads like a calligraphic stroke in furniture form: confident, single-breath, finished.
